Heavy Ball Receiving for improving strength & angles while receiving.

When receiving, it’s important that we control the ball instead of the ball controlling us. A great way to improve that skill is receiving something heavier than a baseball (or softball). Heavy ball receiving will help develop the strength needed to prevent any negative move (movement away from the strike zone) and help the catcher learn about the importance of the angle of their move.
