This video shows, in detail, the different footwork variations MLB catchers will utilize when throwing runners out at second base. The footwork is dependent on pitch location, batter location and catcher preference. I always recommend practicing all of the variations so when the game situation calls for it, you'll use the best technique needed for that particular pitch and batter location.
